Is massage for you?
If you're wondering about it, some things to consider:
How could you benefit from massage?
What would it be like, to experience?
How can you find the right therapist?
... Ask yourself this: "Could I use more peace of mind?" Very few of us can honestly answer "No." to that question. Stress, and its effects, seem to intensify constantly in our daily lives.
Keep in mind that physicians often refer patients for therapeutic massage for treatment of a variety of physical, mental and emotional issues.
A professional massage offers real benefits far beyond the wonderful relaxation you will feel during and after your session.
Some examples of the benefits associated with massage can be:
Stress reduction, as well as help with stress-related concerns such as elevated blood pressure.
Improved skin and muscle tone, better circulation and flexibility.
Pain reduction
What your session will be like:
It will take place in a private, warm space. Soft music may be played to enhance the relaxing environment. You will be allowed privacy while you disrobe to the level with which you're comfortable, and when you've gotten at ease on the table and have discussed your preferences, your massage will begin. You are encouraged to let your therapist know during the session if you have any special requests or comments which could help your therapist achieve the very best experience and results for you.
Finding a qualified therapist:
Be certain that he or she is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Their certificate should be displayed in their workspace. Ask friends about their experiences with practitioners in your area.
